Best Practice Clinics raise the roof at Olympia
With over 150 customer contact managers and professionals booked, these Best Practice Clinics elicited massive support from the industry at Call Centre and Customer Management EXPO on 11th and 12th October. This is the first time the Professional Planning Forum has facilitated round-table clinics alongside the Summit for the Top 50 Centres for Customer Service. Held in London for the first time, these clinics brought together Top 50 and Planning Forum members, together with other delegates from the show - representing tens of thousands of agent desks in the UK and Europe.
Using the Professional Planning Forum’s expertise in supporting best practice, this was a chance to discuss business-critical issues across disciplines and sectors - with operational managers, planners, analysts and strategic thinkers. Hugely positive feedback suggests that there was robust discussion, challenging ideas and that many people took away practical ideas to apply in their own operations. The 90-minute round table discussions gave the opportunity to engage with research, from the Planning Forum 2011 Best Practice Guide, and share learning with professionals from across the industry.
With the Tuesday clinics sold out in advance, the enthusiasm and engagement showed that they hit the mark with delegates, as Mark Capone, from Laithwaites Wine, explains: "Excellent session - hugely valuable - I learned a huge amount in a very short time". It was an "extremely useful session providing a hands on experience of an area I am looking to introduce - including pitfalls and advantages" added John Laing, from Vanquish Bank.
